The brief
A high-street shopfront that needed to compete with every other window on the parade — while staying legible, because a shopfront's job in December is to be read and walked into.
What we installed
- Warm white outlining the fascia and the full shopfront return
- Window reveals framed to draw the eye to the display rather than to the lights
- A single dressed garland over the entrance, kept clear of the door swing
- Timer set to open a little before trading and close after the parade goes quiet
The constraint
The footway and the fascia. Retail parades have narrow pavements and shared frontages, so the install was staged out of trading hours with the working area cordoned. The fascia itself takes no penetrating fixings — everything is clipped, which matters when the landlord holds the lease.
The result
A shopfront that stands out at the right distance and still reads as a shop. Warm white, one temperature, no chase modes — retail displays that flash get ignored within a week.
